Neumünster, Germany – July 2025 – Wolfskrieger introduces the Yggdrasil Gen2 Precision Tripod, the refined evolution of its established precision shooting tripod.
Built on the proven Yggdrasil platform developed together with North European PRS shooters and snipers, Gen2 does not reinvent the system. Instead, it focuses on one meaningful improvement: the Wolfskrieger 44 mm Bi-Directional Positive Leg Lock.
“Yggdrasil Gen2 is about improving the one area where we saw a clear opportunity to make the system better,” said Leon Kruse, CEO of Arxma GmbH, the holding company behind Wolfskrieger Germany. “The geometry, forged carbon construction and ball head already worked extremely well, so we deliberately left them unchanged. The new leg lock makes repositioning and deployment faster and more repeatable.”
The main Gen2 upgrade
The new 44 mm bi-directional positive leg lock system positively locks each leg in position.
This allows the tripod to be lifted, repositioned and rapidly redeployed without losing the selected leg length or having to readjust the height. This is particularly useful when transitioning between shooting positions or when using the tripod as a rear support.
The rest of the platform remains deliberately familiar. Yggdrasil Gen2 retains its 44 mm heavy-duty legs, 40 mm precision ball head, forged carbon-fiber construction and proven overall geometry.
Stability without unnecessary weight
Despite its large footprint and high rigidity, Yggdrasil Gen2 weighs under 3 kg while offering up to 180 cm of usable height.
This makes it suitable for tall shooters as well as applications where the same tripod is used for both shooting and observation.
The tripod is manufactured from forged carbon fiber, combining low weight with high stiffness and impact resistance. Its 44 mm legs provide a stable platform for heavy rifles and demanding shooting positions while retaining fast and intuitive setup.
The proven 40 mm ball head features a quick-release lever mounted to the moving part of the head, keeping the control aligned with the firearm. This allows the shooter to locate and operate the lever instinctively, even when working quickly or under stress.
“Gen2 is not about changing something simply because it is new,” Kruse added. “It is about taking a platform that already works and refining the component that matters most when the tripod is actually being moved and used in the field.”
